The March Driver of the Month is Samuel D. James of Princess Anne. He drives for Mountaire Farms of Delmarva in Selbyville and has been with them since 2003. Sam has been a professional driver for 21 years and drives a feed delivery rig for Mountaire. He has achieved more than one million safe driving miles and has never been involved in a crash.
Sam’s supervisor says “Mr. James is a model employee and driver. He has a long, safe driving record and is always willing to help. He helps other with their personal health in his spare time.”
His company reports that he was a Mountaire Driver of the Month in May 2005 and again July of 2012. Mountaire has received reports that Sam has, on two separate occasions, stopped to assist motorists in disabled vehicles. In both cases he was able to help them get their vehicles out of danger and safely parked on the side of the road or in a parking lot.
In addition, Sam has earned 12 certificates for online/video safety courses that his employer offers.
DMTA salutes Samuel D. James for his outstanding record in safety and professionalism. He is truly representative of the best of America’s professional drivers. Join us in wishing him the best of luck in the Driver of the Year competition.
