Delaware survived the “Blizzard of 2016.” It was probably fortunate that the event occurred on a weekend reducing the storm’s impact on commerce. Most people were able to hunker down and wait out the storm in the comfort of their homes. While there were electrical outages, they were not as severe as had been predicted.
FMCSA has proposed a new carrier rating system. The Safety Fitness Determination (SFD) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), to be published in the Federal Register on Jan. 21, 2016, would update FMCSA’s safety fitness rating methodology when and if it becomes a final rule.
